‘Dogs clinch state playoff berth

The Taylor County Bulldogs clinched their fifth-straight state playoff appearance, Friday night in Fernandina, jumping out to a commanding 20-0 lead and dominating district-foe Fernandina Beach, 48-16, in a mercy-rule shortened game.

For the second straight week the Bulldogs triggered a running clock after building a lopsided 35-point lead against their opponent.
