Brynes seeks city council seat

Six of the seven people running for the Perry City Council this year completed their qualifying documentation before the noon deadline on Monday, including the newest candidate, former City Manager William “Bill” Edward Brynes, who is running for the District 4 seat currently held by Perry Mayor Alan Hall.

With the deadline for new candidates passed, City Councilman Ward Ketring was re-elected unopposed to a second term in office representing District 5. He was first elected in 2018.
