Virginia F. Bishop

Virginia F. Bishop, 67, transitioned on June 12, 2022, in Perry.

She was born May 15, 1955, in Perry to A. D. and Mary Faulk.

Virginia was a faithful member of New Brooklyn M.B. Church where she was a faithful usher, worked with the youth, custodian, member of the hospitality committee and would assist anywhere needed.

She was also a devoted custodian for the Taylor County School System.

Virginia will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for people and her job performance.

She loved her husband and all of her grandchildren.

She is survived by: her devoted husband, Walter Bishop; three daughters, Waltress Bishop (Eddie), Sadtriyl Smith and Chamois Livingston (Bruce); her grandchildren, Jonathan McKnight, Jaquan Williams, Shavis McKnight , Xavier Brooks and Nevaeh Bishop; three sisters: Peggy Glanton, Geraldine Sparrow (Earl) and Jacqueline Faulk; one brother, Vernon Faulk; and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held today (Friday) from 5-7 p.m. At Trinity Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive M. B. Church. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery.

To promote safety for everyone, a face mask is required for both the visitation and funeral.
