City council adds ‘Good Friday’ to paid holiday list

The City of Perry has decided to close city offices and add “Good Friday” to its list of recognized holidays as a paid day off for city employees.

At least two council members supported the idea at the city council’s April 26 meeting, after Councilwoman Shirlie Hampton asked for the issue to be placed on the next agenda for discussion.
