    David Williams Memorial Fire Station

    Family members and friends of the late David Williams joined personnel with Taylor County Fire-Rescue for a ceremony on Saturday, June 17, during which the county’s main fire station in Perry was dedicated in his honor.

    Williams, who served as a firefighter/EMT with Fire-Rescue, was injured Oct. 21, 1997, while battling a structure fire at a local residence and died Oct. 22, 1997. Williams was struck by a .22-caliber bullet that discharged from a rifle located inside a burning greenhouse. He was survived by two children, including son, Trenton, and daughter, Jordan.
