Six local players help Panhandle Heat win tourney

Six local softball players from Perry helped the Panhandle Heat travel softball squad go undefeated and win a USSSA Fastpitch tournament in Lake City this past weekend.

Macy Dean, Emma Kirkland, Hannah Shiver, Addison Carter, Adrianna Carter and Kiersten Carter powered the Panhandle Heat to a championship in the 18-and-under (18U) division, beating out five other teams.
