County extends rental agreement of Consolidated building for SAO

The Taylor County Commission has agreed to continue renting the former Consolidated Communications offices on Drew Street in downtown Perry to house the local state attorney’s office.

State Attorney John Durrett approached the county commission at its May 17 meeting to request a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the county and his office, as well as a three-year extension of the rental agreement with Consolidated.
