Over the past several meetings, city officials have fielded requests for improvements and upgrades at several city parks, including drinking fountains, shade coverings and new equipment.
At the city’s April 12 meeting, Councilwoman Shirlie Hampton advocated for the city to pull $2,400 out of its share of federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to pay for installing water fountains at three local parks.
