Senior center requests $15,000/month

Facing funding cuts from the federal and state government, Taylor Senior Citizens Center (TSCC) officials are turning to the Taylor County Commission for help, requesting a $15,000-per-month subsidy to help keep the doors open.

While commissioners did not commit to any funding help, the county did pledge to reach out to its state legislators to get more information on why the center’s funding was cut and seek any potential solutions.
