Injuries require leg amputation

Family, friends and a worldwide community of supporters are rallying behind Addison Bethea, the 17-year-old teen who survived a brutal shark attack Thursday, June 30, while scalloping off the Taylor County coast.

Bethea, the daughter of local chiropractor Dr. Shane Bethea of Perry and Michelle Murphy of Satellite Beach, was scheduled to undergo a third surgery today (Wednesday) at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH).
