Nellie Jane Shaw, 87, passed away on July 6, 2022, in Gainesville. She was born July 1, 1935, in Perry to William Thomas Grubbs and Lucille Hale Grubbs. Nellie was a faithful servant of Faith Baptist Church for many years. She was a strong supporter of all of her family, and a faithful and loving wife to her husband of 36 years, Norman. Nellie was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Lucille Grubbs, and five brothers, Billy Grubbs, Herbert Grubbs, Robert Grubbs, Jerry Grubbs and Tom
Grubbs. She is survived by: her husband, Norman Shaw; children, Roxanne Barnette and Sharon Henry; one grandson, Alexander Barnette; one brother, Louie Grubbs; and one sister,
Dorothy Jean Reeves; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, at 10 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Taylor officiating. Interment services will
follow in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m., at the church. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of
