DMH re-opens ‘swing beds’ to help transition patients to home

Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH) has announced the local hospital is re-opening its “Swing Bed” Inpatient Rehabilitation Program beginning July 1.

DMH Director of Nursing Ashley Biddy said the swing bed initiative provides patients recovering from surgery, stroke, illness or trauma or additional needed rehabilitative therapy an integral strategy for recovery prior to going home.
