Burns plans to assert an ‘insanity defense’

Murder suspect Kenneth Brian Burns will assert an “insanity” defense at trial, which has been re-scheduled from the end of July to the end of September.

The announcement was made during a status hearing held Wednesday at the Taylor County Courthouse.
