JR Poppell

JR Poppell, 67, a resident of Cottonwood, Ala., and formerly of Perry, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 22, 1954, to the late Abraham Lincoln Poppell Sr., and Imogene (Sanders) Poppell. He owned and operated JR’s Fireworks in Cottonwood. Graveside services were held Friday, June 10, at 11:30 a.m., at Love Hill Assembly of God Church Cemetery. Ward Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
