New park honors Perry’s ‘angels’

In the past year, the Perry community has lost three young lives that were just beginning to bloom: Caleb Sullivan, 16; Angel Olivia Ketring, 15; and Jakourtney “Tasha” Davis, 19.

In thanking the Perry City Council for dedicating its new dog park in honor of her daughter, Angel, former mayor Emily Weed Ketring has expressed her desire that the park “honor all the children who have entered eternity, my Angel along with all of Perry’s angels.”

PHOTO: The new dog park is located adjacent to Folsom Park on South Center Street. It has areas designated for both large and small pets.
