Local COVID-19 cases appear to have stabilized, at least for now, weeks after a similar trend occurred statewide, although COVID-related hospitalizations and deaths are increasing nationwide.
According to the latest report from the Florida Department of Health (DOH), 66 new cases were reported in Taylor County during the seven-day period ending Thursday, July 14. This was level with the 65 cases reported two weeks prior. (DOH only reports county-level figures every other week.)
