    City can lower millage and receive more tax revenues

    A projected $31 million increase in taxable values within the city limits will allow the City of Perry to generate an estimated $113,000 in additional tax revenues next year – even by lowering the property tax (millage) rate slightly.

    The City of Perry would have received approximately $200,000 more in tax revenues next budget year if the city council maintained its current millage rate (6.53 mills).
