Homemade ghost raft found floating off coast

A family from Deland visiting relatives here made a surprise discovery when they came upon an abandoned makeshift boat on their way back to Keaton Beach following a Friday afternoon fishing trip off the Taylor County Coast.

Priscilla Smith, her husband, George, and two children were in town to visit Priscilla’s mom, Amy Dykes, and celebrate George’s birthday over the weekend.
