Land swap clears way to straighten Deadman’s Curve

Taylor County officials have taken the final step to secure the necessary property needed to straighten Deadman’s Curve on Beach Road.

At its July 11 meeting, the Taylor County Commission approved a land swap between the county and Clark Properties of Taylor County, LLC, through which the county will receive three small pieces of property in exchange for Clark Properties receiving a portion of the parcel along the curve purchased by the commission in January.
