Beshears appointed

One day after attending her first official school board meeting as Taylor County’s new Superintendent of Schools, Alicia Beshears was officially appointed to the post by Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday, July 22.

DeSantis’ formal appointment capped a whirlwind first month on the job for Beshears, who has now been elected, hired and appointed to the seat — all within a five-week span.
