Brenda Sue Gray Bass

Brenda Sue Gray Bass passed away July 23, 2022, in Tallahassee. She was born Nov. 8, 1959, at Doctors’ Memorial Hospital in Perry. She was a nurse for 29 years, dedicating her life to caring for other people. Brenda was of the Christian faith and a member of numerous churches throughout her life in Taylor County. She was preceded in death by: her stepfather, Chester Brannen; twin sister, Linda Ann Gray; and brother, Daniel Brannen. She is survived by: her mother, Mary Carter Rutherford; her son, Robert Bass (Vicki); her daughter, Tabitha Flowers (Marshall); her son, Kyle Bass; three sisters, Barbara Merry, Amanda Merry and Nelda Chisholm; three brothers, Tracey Brannen, Charles Brannen and Gerald Brannen; four grandchildren, Aakeem, Aamarche, Brandi and Tori; and a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life for Brenda will be held Saturday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 202 E. Veterans Dr. in Perry. Burial will be held at a later date.
