    Bruce Everett Nowlin

    Bruce Everett Nowlin, 81, of Perry, Florida, passed away on July 26th following a brief illness.
    Bruce was born in Sparta Tennessee on February 9, 1941.

    He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1963 and served as a Lieutenant in the US Army from 1964-1966 where he was a member of the Army Chemical Corp.

    Bruce was married to Judy McDaniel in 1962, moved to Perry Florida in 1966 and began working for Buckeye (Foley) as a Chemical Engineer, retiring in 2000.

    He was a member of the Perry Church of Christ for 56 years.

    Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Ola (Crawley) Nowlin, his son Robert Bruce and an older brother Maurice.

    Bruce is survived by his wife Judy of 59 years`, his two sons, Keith (Vanessa) of Center Hill, FL and Marty (Cynthia) of Perry, FL ; a brother Tom Nowlin and a sister Martha Schales, along with his 4 grandchildren; Carrie, Mackenzie, Abby and Kate.

    Papa’s earthly struggle has ended…. He is now “well pleased to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Cor. 5:8

    Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. Dan Chaney and Bro. Joe Wynn officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

    In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to Florida College for the Robert Bruce (Rob) Nowlin Endowed Scholarship Fund.
