    James Anthony ‘Tony’ Hinkle

    James Anthony “Tony” Hinkle, 45, passed away on July 28, 2022, in Tallahassee. Tony was born Nov. 21, 1976, in Alabaster, Ala., to James Paul Hinkle and Janett Ellison Hinkle Ritch. He was a Baptist. Tony was a longtime welder with Yates, FruCon and Consolidated. Most recently he was employed with ALert. He was an avid outdoorsmen who liked to fish and loved to hunt, and just enjoyed having a good time in the outdoors, on the water or on the land. Tony loved his kids! He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Wayne Ritch, and his maternal grandmother, Alice Ellison. Tony is survived by: his wife of 16 years, Karen Hinkle; his children, Makayla Hinkle, Tony Hinkle, Seth Lewis and Jason Malone; his granddaughter, Avery Lewis; his mother, Janett Ellison Hinkle Ritch; his father, James Paul Hinkle; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Hinkle; and his sisters, Jennifer Hinkle Davis and Jessica Hinkle Brock; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 30, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Marty Brock officiating. Interment services followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
