Drivers use local charging stations 400 times in June

Motorists driving electric vehicles have stopped in Perry to charge up their batteries more than 400 times during the month of June, utilizing one of two charging stations located in Taylor County.

Under a lease agreement signed with Ware Oil & Supply Company, Tesla installed an eight-car electric vehicle (EV) “Supercharger Station” at the local Citgo Travel Center in late 2020 in the parking lot next to Huddle House on Hwy. 19 South.
