A local man with a history of fleeing law enforcement was captured Monday afternoon after a three-county car chase that included two stolen vehicles and a foot chase through Taylor County Sheriff Wayne Padgett’s yard.
Rodquez Dontay “Kermit” Holmes, 30, of Perry and Live Oak, was apprehended by a Perry Police Department (PPD) K9 Monday afternoon just before 7 p.m. after leading law enforcement officers from six different agencies on a winding car and foot chase that ended in a residential neighborhood on Dorman Peacock Road just of Hwy. 27 East.
