School Resource Deputy contract, CDL on agenda

School resource deputies, school grades and the establishment of a new commercial driving license (CDL) program at Big Bend Technical College (BBTC) will be among the items discussed during the school board’s upcoming Tuesday meeting.

Under the district’s new proposed agreement with the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), the school system will be funding one less school resource deputy (SRD) position this coming year due to the closure of Taylor Accelerated School (TAS).
