One suspect was in custody Thursday after confessing to several cases of arson and vandalism that caused thousands of dollars in damages to a local church and private school.
Joshua James Gipson, 34, of Perry, confessed while being interviewed by local, state and federal law enforcement officers on Thursday and was booked into the Taylor County Jail on one count of first-degree arson (occupied structure), three counts of second-degree arson, felony criminal mischief and burglary.
