    Carol R. Gunter, 67, passed away on Aug. 4, 2022, in Perry.

    Carol was born March 14, 1955, in Perry to James H. Roberts and Lilia Margaret Maddox Roberts.

    She was a mother to many and her greatest pride was being known as “Nana.”

    She became an entrepreneur and opened her own restaurant and named it “Rosehead Junction” here in Perry. She became known for her signature sandwiches and salads that she created herself.

    She is survived by her: husband of 41 years, Tom Gunter; five children, Daryll Thomas Gunter and his wife, Dawn, Christopher Scott Gunter, Jonathan Lee Gunter (Misty), Eustis Thomas Gunter II and his wife, Chastity, James Ryan Gunter (Meijah); 10 grandchildren, Bryce Gunter, Colby Gunter, Caylen Gunter, Trace Gunter, Chip Gunter, Riley Gunter, Holland Gunter, Amelia Gunter, Daven Howell and Maxwell Skelton; and one brother, Jimmy Roberts (Edna); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends today (Friday) from 6-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

    Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 5 p.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home with Brother Steve Fox officiating. Interment services will be held on Monday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. At the Tallahassee National Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local Big Bend Hospice.

    All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
