Jail officer arrested, fired for sex relationship with inmate

A correctional officer at the Taylor County Jail has been arrested for engaging in an alleged sexual relationship with a female inmate while she was incarcerated in 2020.

Brandon James, 33, of Perry, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 5, and terminated from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) that same day.
