    BREAKING: 2022 Primary Election Unofficial Results

    Brynes defeats Hall by 14 votes

    Perry Mayor Alan Hall lost his bid for re-election to the District 4 seat Tuesday night, falling to challenger Bill Brynes by just 14 votes.

    According to unofficial election results, Brynes — Perry’s former city manager — collected 134 votes, while Hall finished with 120 votes.

    Landry wins City District 3 seat outright

    In a three-person race for the vacant District 3 city council seat, Diane C. Landry avoided a run-off and won election outright to fill the seat formerly held by the late Mike Deming.

    Landry picked up 141 of the 253 total ballots cast in the race, giving her more than 50% of the vote and allowing her to avoid a November runoff.

    Ernestine Mitchell received 61 votes, while fellow challenger Santina Olivia Deming garnered 51 votes in her bid to fill her late father’s seat.

    Moody wins re-election to District 2 seat

    County Commissioner Jim Moody will serve another term representing District 2 after defeating challenger Gerald Dillow in Tuesday’s primary election.

    Moody picked up 395 votes, while Dillow had 109 votes, according to unofficial election results.

    Feagle wins District 4 race

    County Commissioner Pam Feagle secured reelection Tuesday night, defeating challenge Jesse James Messick for a new term representing District 4.

    According to unofficial election results, Feagle garnered 612 votes, while Messick had 469 votes.
