Katie Blalock, 37 of Perry, passed away on Aug. 20, 2022. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. at The Potter’s House with burial to follow in the Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held today (Friday) from 4-6 p.m. at Evans Walker Funeral Home. Katie is survived by: her mother, Annie Jane Blalock; sisters, Oriel Blalock and Precious S. Blalock; grandparents, Mamie L. Bolden and Clarence Peter Bolden; aunts and uncles, Juanita Rieara, Eddie Lee Oglesby and Wade Hall; and nephews, Andre Smith Jr., Jamal Q. Beasley, Josiah O. Beasley, Henry K. Bolden and Preston C. Bolden. She was born in Tallahassee. She was educated in the public schools of Taylor County and was a proud graduate in the Class of 2003. Katie really enjoyed singing. She was a member of the high school chorus and she was also a member of JROTC. After high school, Katie continued her education. She enrolled in college at North Florida Community College and she received her AA degree.
