    Posted on August 26, 2022

Richard Edwin Cain, 69, passed away Aug. 24, 2022, in Tallahassee. He was born July 03, 1953, in Wichita, Kan., to Charles and Bessie (Trower) Cain. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Cain and Bessie Trower Cain, and his grandson, Alex E. Cain. Mr. Cain is survived by: his brothers, Charles (Chuck) Cain Jr. and Randy Cain (Shirley); three brothers, Kevin (Jessica), Josh and Stacy (Britkney) Cain; eight grandchildren, Kody, Maddilynn, Grant, Dolton, Madison, Avery, Jason and Haley Cain; a nephew, Charles (Kate); and a niece, Amanda (Michael). Richard liked to just sit and talk for a spell. His favorite sitting partner was his dog, Pebbles. They could watch the world go by for hours. He was a hard worker and worked for himself. He painted vehicles and did auto body work, and he was really good at it. He was a resident of Madison County and was an outdoors man who loved fishing and being on the water. The stories he would tell of those trips were some whopping “big fish” stories we all loved to hear. He especially loved spending time with his family and while he didn’t have as much as time as he would have liked, they knew he loved them just the same. Richard received the Lord as his Savior in Tallahassee on Aug. 19, and he will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. at Rocky Ford Cemetery in Lamont with Pastor Josh Cox officiating.
