Margaret “Mickie” Hendrix Mixon, 88, joined her Saviour on Aug. 25, 2022, in Perry.
Mickie was born May 4, 1934, in Perry. She was the daughter of Robert L. Gray
Sr. and Bessie J. Carlton Gray. Mrs. Mixon was of the Christian faith and was a member of Evangel
Christian Fellowship. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 49 years, Dean Mixon; a loving mother to her children; and the best Gramma Mickie to her grandchildren. She was the eldest of seven children, whom all loved her dearly. Mickie was active in her church, and loved to worship with her church
family. She enjoyed gardening, and tending to her flowers and plants. Mickie was preceded in death by: her husband, Dean Mixon; her parents, Robert L. and Bessie J. Gray Sr.; her brother, Doyle
Gray; and sisters, Diane McGuire, Myrna Freeman and Karen Sigliutti. Mrs. Mixon is survived
by: her loving children, Patti (John) House and Deano (Cindi) Mixon; five
grandchildren, Amanda, Jordan, Joshua, Kristin and Jonathan; three greatgrandchildren, Jackson, Luke and Ella; her brothers, Bobby (Ann) Gray and Carlton “Cotton” (Raynell) Gray; her sister-in-law,
Barbara Gray, her brotherin- law, Terry McGuire; and brother-and sister-in-law, George and Donna Mixon; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Aug. 28, at
3 p.m. at Evangel Christian Fellowship with Brother Justin Webb and Brother Jeremy Gray officiating.
