Tommy Leon Stalans, 85, passed away on Sept. 6, 2022, in Tallahassee. He was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Gulf Hammock to Orvil Stalans and Lessie Markham Stalans. Tommy was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Perry. He was employed with Procter & Gamble in the bleaching department as a welder for 39 years. He was longtime welder here in Perry, teaching many young men how to weld over the years. Tommy will be remembered for his ministry and service to his Lord. In his spare time he enjoyed his fishing, and spending time with his great-grandchildren. Tommy was preceded in death by: his daughter, Kimla A. Stalans Crain; his parents, Orvil and Lessie Stalans; two greatgrandchildren, Adalyn Lewis and Kai Lewis; his brother, Jack Stalans; and sister, Alma McNeese. Mr. Stalans is survived by: his wife of 68 years, Eloise J. Stalans; his loving daughters, Kelly Stalans Russell and Karen Stalans Hinkle; five grandchildren, Allen, Cerissa, Heather, Dustin and Seth; 11 greatgrandchildren; and his brother, David Stalans; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
