Evelyn Edna Raulerson Neeley, 96, passed away on Sept. 9, 2022, in Perry.
Evelyn was born July 29, 1926, in Carbur to Owen Raulerson and Jennie Whitfield Raulerson.
She was a Baptist and a member of Southside Baptist Church, where she retired as a church secretary after many years of service with five different pastors.
She was very active in her church family where she served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, ministry leader and almost every position you can serve in various committees throughout the years.
Most of all, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by: her parents, Owen Raulerson and Jennie Whitfield Raulerson; her husband, Lowell C Neeley; her son, Benny Neeley; four brothers, Dwight Raulerson, Stephen Owen Raulerson III, Richard Raulerson and L. V. Raulerson; and a sister, Edith Raulerson Wilder.
Neeley is survived by: her son, Tommy and his wife, Earline Neeley; her daughter, Lorena and her husband, Dean Grambling; five grandchildren, Shanon Westberry (Lisa), Nicole Neeley Ratliff (Todd), Jennifer Grambling Sadler (Joe), Kevin Grambling and Erin Grambling; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 12, at 3 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary French officiating. Interment services followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
