Dennis Michael Bennett, 75, passed away on Sept. 12, 2022, in Perry.

He was born July 26, 1947, in Cumberland, Md., to Olen J. Bennett and Dollie E Bennett Day Sisson.

Dennis honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.

Mr. Bennett was a Baptist. He enjoyed woodworking on various projects in his workshop. He retired from Buckeye in maintenance after 37 years.

Dennis was preceded in death by: his parents, Olen J Bennett and Dollie E Bennett Day Sisson; his brother, David Bennett; and his sister, Donna Bennett-Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Floye Bennett; his children, Michael J. Bennett and his wife, Lisa, Lisa Bennett-Linton and her husband, Shawn; and two grandsons, Logan and Caleb Linton; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 5-7 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

A graveside service will be held at the Tallahassee National Cemetery on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, at noon.
