Friends of the Library announces program

On Monday, Sept. 26, the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library will present an in-person program featuring Doug Alderson, North Florida naturalist, writer, photographer and collector of iconic vintage (postcard) images of the Sunshine State.

His latest book, “Nostalgic Florida: Iconic Vintage Art of the Sunshine State,” was published this month.

It is a pictorial history of what has come to represent Florida in print media.

The program will be held at the library, starting at 5:30 p.m. A door prize will be given away.

The group also announced that its annual Fall Book Sale will be on Saturday, Oct. 15.
