Strutt Your Mutt Pet Parade and Contest set Oct. 21

Let’s PAW-TY!

Registration is now open for the annual Strutt Your Mutt Pet Parade & Contest slated Friday, Oct. 21, in conjunction with the Florida Forest Festival Kids Parade.

Entry forms are available at the Perry-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce, Ragans Ace Hardware and local veterinarian offices.

There is a $10 entry fee per pet, and pets must be at least four months old.

Prizes will be awarded for: owner/pet look-alike, biggest dog, smallest dog, best kisser, best barker, best tail-wagger, best costume, best shelter dog and best in show.

Vaccinations must be current and current rabies tag worn. (If no tag, please bring proof of vaccination from your veterinarian.)

Registration will begin at 5 p.m. at the amphitheater at Rosehead Park. The parade will kick off at 6:45 p.m.

The event is being sponsored by the Perry Women’s Club.
