County faces unexpected $800,000 bill

In order to meet an earlier-than-expected deadline to transition all local law enforcement and first responders to a new communications technology, the Taylor County Commission may soon have to spend nearly $800,000 on equipment that was not included in the county’s 2022-23 budget approved last month.
