Charles DeWayne ‘Porkey’ Drawdy

Charles DeWayne “Porkey” Drawdy, 70, passed away on Oct. 9, 2022, in Tallahassee.

Porkey was born Sept. 23, 1952, in Jacksonville to Jack Drawdy and Ollie Cannon Drawdy.

He was a Baptist and a member of Salem Baptist Church. He loved woodworking, hunting, fishing and collecting guns.

Porkey was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ollie Drawdy, and his brother, James Drawdy.

He is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Barbara Drawdy; three children, Deirdre Rehberg (Rick), Donna Borden (Jeff) and Eric Drawdy; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Anthony, Levi, Kelan, Ansen, Katherine and Dylan; and one sister, Patricia Bradshaw (Terry); as a well as four nieces.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13, at Salem Baptist Church beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Brother Steve Fox officiating.
