Pauline Virginia Fleming, 92, passed away on Oct. 8, 2022, in Mayo.
She was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Perry to Lanzy Grubbs and Velma Poppell Grubbs.
Pauline was a Baptist and a member of First Baptist Church of Perry since 1956. She was a faithful housewife and mother.
She was an avid University of Florida Gator Fan, loved to embroider and was friends with some ladies and they were all like “peas in a pod.”
Pauline was preceded in death by: her beloved husband of 42 years, Dr. Marvin Fleming; her parents, Lanzy and Velma Grubbs; and a great-grandson, Zachary Stephens.
She is survived by: two children, her son, Ronnie Fleming and his wife, Cathy, and her daughter, Paula Burns and her husband, Jim; four grandchildren, Nikki Stephens, Patrick Fleming Burns, James Burns, and Madeline Burns; three great-grandchildren, Zane Stephens, Kody Humphreys and Makayla Humphreys; one sister, Geraldine Cribbs; and one brother, Ralph Grubbs; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry with the Rev. Ronnie Fleming and Dr. Stephen Ruff officiating. Interment services will follow in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m.
