Sarita Kay Williams Carter, 54, passed on Sept. 27, 2022, at her home in Tallahassee.
She was born to the late Jimmy Washington and Virdie Williams Dobson on May 3, 1958.
She was a 1976 graduate of Taylor County High School.
At an early age, she joined New Brooklyn M.B. Church and later joined Bethel M. B. Church in Tallahassee.
She was a former employee of CNN News in Atlanta, Ga., the department of Children and Family in Florida and retired as a entrepreneur of the United Epic Group.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband, Isaiah Carter; three children, Angelo (Nagoya) Mickens, Jermaine Williams and Joi Williams; her siblings, Carl (Mary) Williams, Ronald Williams, Barnie Williams and Chenita Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 5-6 p.m. At Trinity Funeral Home in Perry followed by a celebration of life service at 6 p.m.
Public viewing will be held Thursday, Oct. 13, from noon to 6 p.m. At Strong & Jones Funeral Home in Tallahassee.
Funeral services and interment will be held Friday, Oct. 15, at noon at Tallahassee National Cemetery.
Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
