The annual Halloween Trunk or Treat event will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, from 6-8 p.m. in downtown Perry, with decorated “trunks” full of candy stretching down Jefferson Street and around the courthouse square.
Coordinated by the Perry-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce, the free event will also include a downtown window dressing contest, best decorated trunk contest, costume contest and pumpkin carving contest.
The costume and pumpkin contests will be held at the chamber (located across from City Park). Pumpkins can be turned in Friday, Oct. 28, or Saturday by 5 p.m.
Winners will be announced Saturday night on Facebook (“I Love Taylor County” page).
The Taylor County Historical Society, which is located at the corner of Main and Washington streets, will host live music by local band “Backroads.”
