Mrs. Lois Nix, 86, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, at Lafayette Nursing Home in Mayo, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Colquitt, Ga., on Feb. 16, 1936. She moved to Perry in 1965, coming from Decauter County, Ga. She loved to fish and sing, and was a homemaker. She is survived by: one son, Glenn Nix (Cheryl) of Perry; four daughters, Mary Willis (Danny), Julie Jolley (Willie Joe) and Teresa Dorman (James), all of Perry, and Becky Pelle (Ed) of Shady Grove; one brother, Julian Debary; one sister, Margaret Padgett; 10 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. at Beggs Chapel in Perry followed by burial at Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Beggs Funeral Home.
