As the City of Perry begins the search to hire just its fifth city manager since 1981, council members agreed to follow the same application and hiring process used in 2018 to hire Taylor Brown, who resigned on Monday. The only change to the qualifications was requiring the new hire to become a resident of the City of Perry (instead of Taylor County) within a reasonable amount of time.
The City of Perry will advertise on the local, state and national level as it seeks to replace outgoing City Manager Taylor Brown, who announced his resignation on Monday after more than four years on the job.
