    Elizabeth Ann Cruce

    Elizabeth Ann Cruce, 79, a longtime resident of Shady Grove passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, 2022, in Madison. Ann was born June 6, 1943, in St. Petersburg to John Henry Parker and Alva Lee Odom Parker. Mrs. Cruce was a Baptist and a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Ann was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed tending to her garden, sewing and liked to go shopping with whoever would take her. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Alva Lee Parker, and her sister, Helen Miller. Mrs. Cruce is survived by: her husband of 57 years, Wallace Cruce; her girls, Lisa (Mark) Maxwell and Karen (Mark) Lee; seven grandchildren, Hanna, Olivia, Dillon, Katelyn, Taylor, Gunner and Lucas; two great-grandchildren, Joanna June and Parker; and her brother, Bill Miller; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Tom Studstill officiating. Interment services will follow in Hendry Cemetery in Shady Grove.
