Arthur H. Wilson Sr.

Arthur H. Wilson Sr., 85, passed away on Nov. 17, 2022, in Perry. He was born May 25, 1937, in Madison to McKinley Wilson and Jimmie Whitfield Wilson. Arthur honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Baptist and loved the outdoors hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Arthur was preceded in death by: his parents, McKinley Wilson and Jimmie Whitfield Wilson; his two brothers, Lonnie Edward and Thomas “T.W.” Wilson; and his five sisters, Mildred, Dorothy, Lois, Myrtice and Nettie. He is survived by: two sons, Arthur Wilson Jr. and Buddy Wilson; two daughters, Cathy and Debbie; and three grandchildren, Sebastain, Arthur Wilson III and Lashay; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Dustin Logan officiating. Interment services followed in Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
