Gregory Scott Horton

Mr. Gregory Scott Horton, 60, passed away on Nov. 24, 2022, at his home in Greenville. He was born on July 13, 1962, and raised by Ernest and Mildred Horton. Greg had lived most of his life in North Florida. He enjoyed f ishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was like Huckleberry Finn – he liked being barefoot and adventurous. He was employed by Ronnie Land at his Dairy for many years. He was recently employed as a correctional officer at Taylor County Correctional Institute (TCI). Greg is survived by: his grandparents, Earnest and Mildred Horton; his wife, Rhonda Horton; one daughter, Cynthia Horton of Live Oak; stepchildren, Sandra Falzon (Gil), Gregory (Heather) Bolden and Jason Bolden; two brothers, Foye Horton and Danny Horton, both of Perry; two sisters, Eula Gail Horton and Margaret Riggins of Day Town; and several grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. at Pisgah Cemetery in Taylor County. The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 6-8 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home (Perry Chapel).
