Festival of Trees is Dec. 10

    Posted on December 2, 2022

The Steinhatchee Chamber of Commerce will host a “Festival of Trees” at the Steinhatchee Community Center on Dec. 10 from 4-7 p.m.

Everyone in the community is invited to attend, as the community center will be filled with beautifully-decorated Christmas trees, all put on display by volunteers in the community, competing to earn the most donations for being the “best decorated.”

The tree earning the most donations wins a “Best Decorated” trophy, while the change, dollars and checks collected in the “voting box” under each tree will go to a charity supported by the Steinhatchee Chamber of Commerce.

The winner will be announced on Dec. 11.

Trees or rental space is $25. The chamber has nine trees that can be decorated (available on a first-come, first served basis). You may bring your own tree, but will need to pay the rental fee of $25. There is no charge to non-profit organizations, but everyone must register.

To rent a tree or space, register online at https://form.jot-form.com/213217826362151.

Tree decorating will begin at noon on Sunday, Dec. 4 and trees will remain on display in the community center until Dec. 29. All trees must be taken down by Dec. 30.
