    97-year-old Steinhatchee home joins National Register

    A Sunday, Dec. 11 “open house” is set for the historic Dr. W.K. Mittendorf House located at 803 Riverside Drive in Steinhatchee (across from Hungry Howies). Owned by Rhoda Moehring, the home was built in 1925 by well-known Perry builder Louis Leonard Parker and is now included on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Taylor County.

    For nearly 100 years, the sprawling wood-frame residence located at 803 Riverside Drive in Steinhatchee has stood the test of time – serving as a silent witness to the ever-changing landscape of what was once a small fishing village.
